Our Refinishing Process
Our Process starts with an inspection of your project to determine what needs to be preformed in the restoration of your floors. This is an important step because each project is unique and may require different steps to achieve our goal in restoration. We then determine if any repairs are necessary. Then we begin to sand, removing the existing finish and flattening your floors. This is done with our Lagler Hummel belt sander, edgers, detail sanding and scraping by hand, and a final fine sand with our multi-disc sanders. We fill the gaps and large imperfections during this progression. Lastly comes our finishing process involving, staining the color of your choice or keeping it natural. Followed by 3 coats of clear floor finish to protect your investment.
Natural VS Stain?
Whether you love the natural beauty of your hardwood, or need a certain color to fit your style, we've got you covered. We offer a few variations of the natural wood tones, or a multitude of stain color options to choose from. Just before the finishing process begins we offer 4 free color samples applied directly on YOUR floors. We believe this is a necessary part of the process and best way for you to envision the final product.

How Long Does Refinishing Take?
Every project is different and unique. While we are efficient, we never rush your project. When we start your project, we focus solely on your flooring needs from start to finish. A standard refinish ranging from 200-1000 sq feet can take as little as 3-4 days to complete. We always give reasonable timelines at the start and work hard to meet them. We value completing our work on schedule and respecting our clients time. Communication is our priority.
